How we create our products
We made the conscious choice to create our products as much as possible ourselves. We don’t want cheap ‘sweatshop-labour’ to be part of the creative process.
The Folver is handmade in a little workshop less then 10 kilometers north of Amsterdam. We simply enjoy the creative process and working with sewing machines. Here’s a little glimpse into the workshop and the focus that’s used to create the Folvers.
Please be aware that there were many challenges, before the Folver became a solution for rock climbers. To be able to create a good product, working out the production process consisted of a sequence of many steps: Working out all the details of the design, finding the right materials like the waterrepellant and durable fabric, the tough webbing, the setting up of the workshop and the sewing machines. Focus, the main ingredient of this process.
